Not your average cacao
Not chocolate
This is pure cacao paste — no sugar, no dairy, no additives. 100% of the bean, nothing taken out, nothing added in. Cacao the way it's been used for centuries.
Not a powder
Ceremonial cacao comes as solid coins — stone-ground whole-bean paste that you melt into hot water. Rich, deep, grounding. A morning ritual, not a supplement scoop.
Not a trend
Amazonian communities have used cacao for thousands of years — for focus, energy, and connection. We work directly with those communities in Peru to bring you the real thing.

Ceremonial cacao is made from heirloom cacao beans, processed with intention, respect, and care throughout the supply chain. It is minimally processed, unadulterated, pure cacao paste made to support well-being, energy, and connection. Ceremonial cacao should only be made with native and wild strains of cacao.
Yes, ceremonial cacao is very different from conventional chocolate.
Ceremonial cacao:
- Is made from 100% pure cacao beans, minimally processed to preserve nutrients.
- Contains no sugar, dairy, or additives.
- Retains its natural cacao butter, antioxidants, and bioactive compounds.
- Has a rich, intense, slightly bitter flavor and a grounding, uplifting effect.
Commercial chocolate, on the other hand:
- Is highly processed and often alkalized, which reduces nutritional value.
- Usually contains sugar, milk, emulsifiers, and flavorings.
- Is designed primarily for sweetness and texture rather than wellness benefits.
In short, ceremonial cacao is cacao in its most authentic and powerful form, while chocolate is a processed confection.
Ceremonial cacao is known for its powerful physical, emotional, and mental benefits. Because it is made from pure, minimally processed cacao beans, it retains all of its natural compounds, nutrients, and energetic properties.
Some of the key benefits include:
- Natural, long-lasting energy: Ceremonial cacao contains theobromine, a gentle stimulant that provides steady energy without the crashes or jitters associated with coffee.
- Improved mood and emotional balance: Cacao naturally supports the release of serotonin and dopamine, helping promote feelings of happiness, openness, and emotional well-being.
- Mental clarity and focus: It enhances concentration while keeping you calm and grounded.
- Heart and circulation support: Rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and magnesium, cacao supports cardiovascular health and healthy blood flow.
- Mind-body connection: Traditionally used in sacred rituals, ceremonial cacao is valued for its ability to foster mindfulness, introspection, and heart-centered awareness.
Our cacao is sourced from different origins across Peru.
We only work with Indigenous communities and small family farms in Peru. We directly trade with them since one of our founders Jose, spend quite some time working for the UN in training them in harvest and post harvest techniques across all of Peru.
We travel to Peru every year for harvest, were we make sure our standards are met and we are able to check upon all of the communities we work with.
These is the core of what we do.
The most traditional and recommended way to enjoy ceremonial cacao is as a hot drink.
How to consume it:
- As a warm beverage: Melt ceremonial cacao in hot (not boiling) water and whisk or blend until smooth and frothy.
- Mindfully: Many people enjoy cacao during meditation, journaling, yoga, or quiet moments of reflection.
- As a coffee alternative: Thanks to its gentle, sustained energy, ceremonial cacao is often used as a natural replacement for coffee.
